So here we go. I have been working on this for the last 3 weeks or so. (weekends only) I purchased a slightly modified rsi tt kit for a 2001 gts. Just thought I would share my install as I go. Its been a LOT or refabbing to get all the pipes to line up with eachother. I dont know if there is a difference between a 98 vs 01 but nothing lined up at all. Thinking that maybe the 01 car was in a wreck and that would change a few things. As of now I finnally got all the hot side done.

Im going to try the tri charge no matter what. My blower is on its way back from kenne bell. It got a full rebuild. Ran dry on oil and didn't like the way it was. That turned out to be a $1200 bill but at least it will be new again. If I dont like the way it reacts on the car its a simple one day job and the stock mani is going back on.

I will post some pic of my engine build that got done last year as well.

Well I'm trying to post some pic but they are all way too large. Cant even shrink them down far enough to allow me to post a decent looking pic. This may take awhile

easy.  Right click on the pic and then chose Paint, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Roxio, Corel or whatever you know to resize the pics down to 200 -400kbs and uploade to www.imageshack.us.  see FAQ thread on top forum group

Like I say I think the other car was in a wreck. The headers are solid to the engine, by the time the piping got down to the exhaust , the downpipes were pointing down 30 degrees. My turbos ended up asking for a bit more frame noching than his aswell. And everything is solid, I didnt have the option to make adjustments.
Intercooler piping did fit but most of the piping needed some tweaking for it to line up to one another. Not a big deal but did involve a lot of time in the minor adjustments.
I also vband my entire exhaust from down pipe back, and wrapped it all with DEI heat wrap.
Also trying to figure out where to drill the charge pipe holes without over cutting was very time comsuming and still impossible to get perfect.

 :headscratch:

You notched the frame for the turbos?  You're welding gussets and plates to strenthen it back ...?  Only frame mods to mine is a a few round holes drilled so the rubber vacuum.control lines are insiude the frame rails.  Not much strength lost to a round hole in the side.  Top and bottom are most of the strength in a rectangular frame.

Yes I notched my frame. I knew this before even buying the kit. From my install there are very few options. Im installing small gt35rs. And if I didnt notch the frame I would have to notch everything around the frame. Floor boards, and some steel around the exhaust outlets. All said and done the filters are still gonna be a challenge to figure out. Very limited on space with these cars.
