:( Winter finally made it.  Couple inches new snow this morning here at Nimpo Lake.  Anahim Lake got a little (1") bit of slushy snow yesterday and the news was that a Lowbed had jacknifed on the Bella Coola Hill yesterday.  Here's the view from my patio this morning.

Wow that's beautiful!

I am at my mechanic's shop, getting my oil changed for winter storage tonight:(

Tires just didn't want to heat up driving here, 45 degrees in northern IN.

If you moved here Phil and bought a sled - you'd be converted!

I used to be considered crazy with my 220hp 500# sled, but now I've mellowed out and turbo sleds are doing 250-400hp and I'm only considered crazy by the locals now.   100' jumps used to be fun, but now even 30' is enough excitment for me usually.

Shorts?   8)   sunglasses too phil?  :2thumbsup:

I was a diehard skier way back when.  Voluteer ski patrol.  It was fun, saving lives etc.  Then I got wrecked on my rice rocket and used the insurance money to buy a snowmobile.  No more wet ass.  Only been skiing once since then.  Russian woman I dated was a good skier so I took her, but she really didn't like the extreme stuff I enjoyed soo ... wife isn't Russian. :)

-36C at the airport last night.  That's about -30F.  My front yard is frozen although I won't be walking on it for awhile.  Lake ice has a skiff of snow over it even though there wasn't any snow last night (too cold).

Guess I'll go out and do some snow shovelling and then start welding up my snowplow for the next snowfall.  Going to Williams Lake (200mi each way) to get pickup truck from Bodyshop.  Local cop coming along for the ride with wife and I.  Taking the Stealth TT.

Really?  It's kinda like everywhere else I think.

Big winds are about 60mph.  No tropical disease, snakes, killer fish, Hurricanes, Tropical storms, never seen a golfball sized hailstone, Alberta has Ice Fog which is kinda spectacular but we don't have any of that.  If we wanted we could drive to Bella Coola and enjoy the 5F humid temps that feel even colder than -30.  However, you do need to love the rain as it's considered a rain forest.

I hate the heat.  After 90F it's turn on the air conditioning so I don't die.

Different strokes for different folks I guess?  Thing I DON'T like is the Forest Fires now that the Gov policy is to let it burn.  But I suppose it's a lot safer than California.

6° right now.  That will be the high tomorrow.  We got 8"+ on the ground in 2 days.

I was stuck in UT overnight on Sunday coming back from Vegas because the roads closed with all the slide-offs and snow.

I'm officially over winter as of.... now
