gen1 has a smaller bottom lip if that makes sense. the bottom part of the lip doesnt stick out as far and also the opening is slightly smaller IIRC.

But the Gen 1 splitter should fit with only minor mods (if any?).

correct, I dont think there is much to installing one on a gen2 at all. a local guy here in NNJ has one on his silver GTS. he has blue stripes now on it too. goes by v10enomous, nice guy.

Leslie's buddy Shandon has a clipon splitter that I like much more than all the rest.  Fits inside the grille opening .
