My ID is RTTTTed and ... I've been addicted to cars all my life.  My addiction started when I was 1 and my parents stood me in the seat of a MG.  I stood on the seat, holding the steering wheel and pretending (?) to drive it for 2 hours.  When my uncle had to leave it took several adults to removed me fom the MG.  The rest of my life is history.  I taught myself to build cars. I hung around with the guys that had the fastest Dodges at the racetrack.  I made friends with several Speed shop owners and later was part of several research projects for Mopac, Nitrous Oxide etc.  I learned chassis design from Alston and built show and go cars as well as drag machines.  I street raced for a quarter of a century in the Fraser Valley and soon found out that as far as winning (without restrictions) ... it had to be a Mopar.  I owned and operated my own car shop in the suburbs of Vancouver for more than ten years.

Here's my 2001 Viper GTS and my 2000 Viper ACR.  The GTS is Roe Racing supercharged at about 720+rwhp and the ACR is Paxton supercharged at about 600rwhp and with the Paxton ic Chiller and Nitrous the dyno sheet shows 802rwhp.  The ACR has 26K miles and for sale at $50K.  Both Vipers were built by Macedo Motorsports.  I've handled all the mods since buying the cars and I've also torn down the modifications done by Macedo which is why I bought a second Macedo Motorsports Viper.  Quality workmanship and excellent customer service - even years later!

I started with my intro Tim, you're turn?

Haha
I haven't had time to write anything up; too busy setting up the site ;)

I'll reserve this spot for my intro though...

OK, I've got a few minutes to get something up.

My name is Tim, if you haven't already seen it posted.  I prefer Tim to BOTTLEFED :)
To give a little history to my username, I've used that name for almost 15yrs now in various forums.  I came up with it for my personalized plates when I had my first modded car, which had nitrous, so the name BOTLFED fit my car well.  Since then I have had cars off and on with nitrous and have quite a bit of experience with it.  The Viper has had a kit installed, but not finished for 3yrs now. lol

I bought my blue & white GTS over 3yrs ago.  It had some good basic mods and upgrades on it.  It made 441hp/470tq when I got it.  With a lot of help from the forums and DamnYankee and Steve 00RT/10, I successfully installed a Roe supercharger.  I had a few hiccups and learning experiences, but came out with a lot of knowledge and understanding of these cars.
I'm a certified auto tech and I do all my own work, maintenance, and tuning on my car.  I do EVERYTHING on my car.  I won't even let the tire shop install my wheels after I have the tires mounted to the rims.
My GTS now has 661hp/683tq with the Roe S/C at 6.5#, VEC3, custom W/M, Borla headers and catless exhaust, smooth tubes and K&Ns, JM stg3 heads, and 1.7 Arrow roller rockers on a full custom tune by me.

You can read more about my car in this article:
http://www.domesticdriver.com/issues/2010/1%20:%20January-February-2010.pdf

I hope you all enjoy the site and will make it your own.  I'm not rich, but I'm not trying to make anything from this site.  I will put as much time and energy as I can to help us succeed.

thank you :)

Wellllll....first time I ever drove anything with more than 6 cylinders was in 1982...my boyfriend at the time made the mistake of leaving his corvette keys with me while on deployment :o

I will never forget that feeling I had driving it, kept thinking if I was a guy I could get one of these.....

Ended up owning 6 vettes at one time or another

Got hooked on roadracing when I bought my '02Z06

Then decided last year I wanted MORE on the track, so decided to take the BIG guns out for a spin at Mid Ohio...cooked the stock brakes in 20 minutes haha!  I had MORE fun in ONE session in the snake than I did in 5 years of tracking my vette.  I try to get other Vipers out on the track whenever I can, that's my ride on the right:)

Viper Days at Gingerman, saw my almost twin there, I am #78

I think more about roadracing than just about anything, so decided to get my National Instructor's license with Porsche club so I could be on the track as much as i wanted haha!

I'm Jason. I like cars, specifically Vipers. I also like Photochoppin', so if you ever have a request doesn't hesitate to send it my way. I was told this forum would be nothing but porn and swearing, so I joined.

I've had a few Vipers. The first was a heads/cam 1993 RT/10. I had it a little over 2 years. When all was said and done it put down 465/500 to the wheels. That car (not me) is also responsible for a reckless driving arrest and conviction, as well as 4-5 tickets. Since last July it's sold 2 more times and now resides in Germany.

Before:

After:

Last August I bought a Roe supercharged 1998 GTS in silver/blue, 1 of only 43 ever made in that color combination. It had a cam, Jesels, Corsa, no cats, #10 pulley, Accufab 70mm TBs and a slew of other performance mods. I tinted the windows, added an AEM, upgraded the blower, put a JMB box on it, added 19/20 HREs and Nitto Invos, lowered it with springs and caps and did a few other aesthetic mods. It made 625/725 before I sold it.

Before:

After:

I traded the 1998 in in May this year on my end-all, be-all Viper; a twin turbo yellow/black GTS. On race gas it's done 1600HP, on E85 it's been to 1200HP and it's currently de-tuned to 865HP/10lbs on 93 octane. It used to be fully-caged and was the 6-speed full weight IRS street car world record holder for a while (8.55 @ 174mph). It was owned by Dr. Roof and Stacey Barnett before me, and spent time at RSI and Underground Racing before winding up here. It has twin Precision ball-bearing 76mm turbos, Penske shocks, Mark Williams full rear end and a mess of other mods that yet to be identified. Virtually nothing is stock on this car. Since I've had it I've added "pretty" wheels to the collection (iForged Astras 19/20, also have a Bogart drag pack and 18" Fikse FM5s with Mickey Thompson rubber), re-installed the AC, fully upgraded the transmission with the top-of-the-line G-Force, put in an Autoform rollbar, put in Team Tech harnesses, added tow hooks, swapped yellow seats for stock, installed an aftermarket stereo, reinstalled the front sway bar and a few other minor things.

Good to be here. Thanks Tim!  Got my screen name "EllowViper" from my daughter. When I got the car the summer of 2005, it had 7700 miles...one owner from Ohio. My daughter could not say "Yellow" very well and all she could pronounce was "Ellow."  She'd say "Daddy, can we take the Ellow Viper for a ride" time and time again.  So when I joined the "other" sites, it seemed appropriate.  Makes me think of her too when I see my screen name.
About me...gearhead my whole life. Grew-up in Minnesota tinkering with things from an early age. Got a gig at the local boat and snowmobile dealership so I had full access to whatever I wanted to do. Great boss. Wanted me to come back after my military career and run the shop.  Nice offer but not in the cards.  Build a crazy Ford 460 in college and stuffed it into my 1978 F100 shortbox pickup as sort of a college project.  Majored in automotive technology so it all went hand-in-hand.  Was commissioned an Officer in the USMC in '85 so spent my early life in uniform...most of my time in the western pacific.  Retired in 2002 in Florida and have been working the same basic job as a contractor/now civilian since.  I work in the Science and Technology Divison of US Central Command so its very immersive in technology and innovative ways of killing people (sort of).  I have done all of my Viper work in my garage (paint, engine, transmisison, fuel systems, etc). I have a 4 point lift and all the related goodies.  Its sort of my mancave.  I have a great spouse that is very supportive of my "hobbie" and loves that the kids (now 8 and 10)  all know how to work on a Viper.  Probably the best techs in the area!!  Right now I'm in Qatar holding a S&T confererene with our warfighters from Iraq and Afghanistan and will be spending several weeks in Afghanistan in the coming weeks. Hope to provide some more Viper-related info in the coming weeks!
