11200hp Weber ...

Having launched a prototype back in 2007, Weber Sportscars has spent years testing and developing its Faster One (F1) sports car and is ready to launch its first production car in April. The Swiss carmaker claims the F1 is the world’s fastest street-legal four-wheel-drive supercar, built by former BMW and Sauber F1 racing engineers. The two-seater mid-engine sportscar has a full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and all-carbon body, and weighs in at a svelte 1,250kg. Combined with a 5.6-liter twin-turbocharged V10 rated at 1,200 horsepower and 922 pound-feet of torque that's mated to a sequential six-speed and sends power to all four wheels, the F1 manages 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, hits 125 mph in 6.6 seconds and 186 mph in 16.2 seconds. Weber claims top speed is over 249mph, putting it in the same league as the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg Agera R and Hennessey Venom GT. In styling the car, functionality overruled form at every turn, notably the faceless grille that forms an air wedge at the front with the hood exerting downforce on the wheels.
