Not a chance that I'll be ready before Sept.  I'm beginning to think I may not be ready even then, but that is still my target date.

Not sure I can arrange dyno and Motec tuning before then, but I should be fine on the low hp tune.  It would be nice to be able to adjust the hp level from the big seat, but it's not that important for the salt (I hope)

I'm gonna do a compression test and pull the bearings as well.  Right now I'm still working on the clutch/trans situation.

I started pulling the interior trim out of my TT as well.  No carpet or roof liner needed so I'll remove them.  Metal seat I'll buy soon and I'll try and get my car down to Abbotsford to get Steve to go over with me.

Its a lot of work , but youve got 3 1/2 months to go !
Will the gforce tranny not stand up for the race on the low boost setting , it will only see the hp that traction will allow , you have the correct gears right ?

3 1/2 months is a lot of time.  Problem is that any parts I need will probably take a days driving and 3 days for shipping in the US or 3 weeks minimum if I have it cross the border, for small parts.

My GForce trans is the strongest available and has held 1500whp through several engines in this car.  I only plan to run 1100whp so it should be fine now that I've added the oiling system.

My gears are correct for 30" tires, and I have 26" tires so ...  Baring building a custom diff or spending more than $10,000 on a stronger tranny I have to get taller tires.  I called Jon about a 6060 tranny but it was nearly $4000 PLUS a core plus shipping and that might make a couple runs but it won't go more than a couple runs.

Adrln ...  http://saltflats.com/Test_N_Tune/test-tune-meet.html  July 11th  - what's "additional entries only accepted until May 15th" mean?  it's too late to run?

It might be worth calling or emailing to see if still spots available , it looks like they were having truoble getting the numbers of entries so they extended the dates ?

It said until May 15th and it's the 18th today.

I'm going to look into el Mirage.  It looks like a for sure class record for you and both my cars!!!  They're running this weekend as I see that there was a 250mph run before they shut it down because of severe winds.

Herb Helbig set a Viper record there at 198mph and it looks like the 198mph record in production (GT) class is the same (although the name says G. Curtis).

Thanks Darryl.  I have a lot of parts waiting for me at C-note's place.  Hoping to get the trans back in soon and trailer the car to Vancouver to get my friendly SCTA inspector to go over it in July.  Thinking that I'll take the car to a Mopar Car Club car show at the same time.  Be great to see the old friends and what they're doing last decade. :driving:

Should be going south to get parts and HRBearing next week.  Hoping to have TT back together and take it to Abb so my Bonneville tech inspector can tell me the various items I need to do.  He's also go all the wheels and tires I need and will take a pattern then drill the holes for the Viper 6 bolt pattern and weld the centers into the special Taylor wheels that he bought for me (and a set for himself).  I still need to go over the engine and figure out a new suction system.  I'll either have to install and tune the Motec or ask my buddy Joel to give me a hand tuning an intake heat sensor into the AEM to safeguard the engine.

I would like to grind up my GTSR racing heads I bought last year.  Larger valves and then install the better heads before taking the TT GTS somewhere for a tune.   I want to have w/m injection installed and triggered by intake heat so if the 7 mile track starts overheating the intake air the w/m inj can cool it down and keep the engine safe.

Not a chance bud.  I've been buying a firesuit, gloves and boots for about a month now.  Guys still hasn't told me if he can accept my credit card.  Hoping to get car running next week when the parts come in (or I would have had it running last week.
