My GTS was equipped with 800hp axleshafts when I bought it.  I upgraded to 1,000hp titanium axles from Unitrax.

My GTS was also equipped with Unitrax rear axle safety loops to prevent broken axles pieces from tearing out the fuel lines etc if one fails.

Only a few pounds they are a good idea if you use the 800 or stock axles.

I have plans to build a link bar from the bottom of the Diff housing to a custom mount which will incorporate a d-shaft loop probably this winter.  The link bar would be to stiffen the diff mounting and probably removed some wheelhop.

NHRA recommends a 1/4" x 2" flat bar loop around the d shaft and they don't say much about mounting except that it should use 4 3/8" bolts.  The frame rails could be drilled and tapped and they shouldn't lose and structural integrity.
