Back in the "old days" there was rust inhibitor, condensed/canned milk and permanent (Green) Antifreeze,  Simple.

Now there is Green (shortest life antifreeze), Orange or Pink (5 year antifeeze) and Now - Purple is the new 10 year antifreeze.

Mopar recommends NOT mixing the different types and colors as they do not work well together because they are incompatible.

NOT FOR USE in 2.0L and 2.3L Diesel engines!

Just a safety warning.

Other "good to know" information about Antifreeze is to buy your antifreeze from a Kenworth, Western Star, Freightliner or perhaps a Mack Trucks dealership.

At Walmart and Canadian Tire discount stores Antifreeze prices ranged from $19 to $32 a jug.  There was no ryhme or reason I could see for the vast range of prices.  Green, Red, concentrated and premixed were all various priced.

Inland Kenworth sold me several gallons of pre-mix Red antifreeze for only $15 a gallon!  Premium antifreeze at lower than discount prices!  Doesn't get much better than that.
