Tim said he Delete's them.  I just deleted the .....340 - even though I banned him a few days ago.

I rejected membership to 514 spammers last night. 

Must be terrorists since all they do is mess up the workings of the internet and waste money forcing us to design technology and program just to remove/delete the losers.  I've never bought any spam and I've never been one of the scumbag "send us some moeny and we'll send you millions."   So Spam scum is wasted on me.

The 8 spam posts I deleted didn't cause anyone here to buy a coat, bikini or a dress I'm sure.  Waste of resources.

Yes and no. Yeah, it's a waste to us that don't give a damn, but to the "seller" it cost them next to nothing to have a "bot" post thousands and thousands of ads all over the net and if even one person buys something as a result it was a good "investiment" for the seller.

If we're suddenly getting more spam then in the past it might be time to upgrade the boards. I know on the phpbb board that I run anytime a new version comes out it seems that more spam slips through the cracks. Guess the release notes of the new version clues people in on how to get through the holes in the old version.

Even more to it than that.  It's about search engine hits.  They spam a big pile of forums and all the search engines pick it up.  Deleted or not they get free listings.
