Donations to the Website.
«
on:
August 02, 2012, 10:10:55 PM »
:)Long ago we were asked to accept donations to help run the website and perhaps add to the content and quality of the site. Tim and I decided that we wanted it FREE and kept it that way. Our expences were minimal and our gracious host provided his services for free
. Now we need to "pay our way" and there are a few hundred bucks required. I would like to hire a local web designer to do some code writing on the site and am looking toward paying someone to design our own VG Logo.
I decided to post and accept donations to help run the site. Paypal me at
terrificted@hotmail.com
if you want to help with the site's expences. This is not a requirement.
Thanks,
Ted

This site isn't about the VCA, it's about Vipers and owners. VCA is secondary

Hmmmm......
I think of all the TIME (15000+ posts in 3 screennames) and the gobs of money PartsRack donated since 1997 on the (now)
Censorship Site
..... And (Interesting note,) when the "vulgar site" was created later, I donated parts to raffle off or auction off to help them with seed money. I did not know it would turn so sophomoric and vulgar, what a shame......it demeans the many good members there.
Im not a pay-pal guy (money laundering to facilitate fences and crooks) so I'll have to pony-up some other way.... but count PartsRack IN.

Thanks Jon.
You already donated towards my efforts and some of the stories and info on this site and
www.vipernation.com
when you bought my 1 piece racing suit. That allowed me to go to the Mojave Mile and NORC - where a Dodge set 2 new speed records for Guinness Book of World Records.
I wrote the Mojave Mile story and a thread so that people can read the experience and decide if it's something they want to try. The story contains valuable info on safety, rules and pointers to help out newbies! It also helped me claim podium finishes for the Dodge Viper community, over the much higher amount of GMs and Fords.
You're also famous for handing out tons of free Viper stuff. I handed out Partsrack Viper trinkets to the Western Canada VCA several times I bought a Farewell Dinner ticket at VOI 11 which ended up netting me many free gifts as well as a set of new Belanger headers for my stock manifolded 2000 ACR.
I've given away all those Viper windup Dinky Toys that you gave me to a lot of happy little kids.
That you got the 'boot' from the club demonstrates (to me) that it was a personal presecution.
Guess I'm trying to say that your generosity is famous.

I received a significant donation that will help build some decals, buy prizes or pay site operating expenses.
Thank you

I would like to thank TNT for the biggest donation made to the site yet. Trev worked the design of the snake logo and had a sign shop build us several hundred Viper Garage decals! These VG decals look fantastic and will be selling for a paltry $10 each to help support the website and cover the fees and hopefully prizes and upgrades.
Trevor insists that there be some Viper Garage events and is asking to host one. It would be great to see many of my friends again ... especially since they're not allowed to have me around
I helped host VCA events as did Trevor so it won't be a first or anything. Taking a hint from the old WC president while I was hanging with the local club I made a suggestion to a Viper Dealer and begged/asked a couple closer Chrysler dealerships for donations for our event. All of them came through and door prizes really made the event more enjoyable for everyone there.
I asked JonB/PartsRack about him selling our decals and he said, " I only give decals away, I don't sell them. I'll take 25 for special giveaways and buy them to support the site. I'll order more later." Wow Jon, thank you! Customers should order your parts from JonB so you can get your VG decal!
Please Buy our really cool decals. Put them on your tool boxes, your Viper GARAGE doors, and your Viper. You could stick them on your daily driver and let everyone know about your other car or even just the Viper that you hope to buy one day ... PM myself or TT to get yours.
