I bought a collector 22K Gold Plated Viper GTS.  Limited production with extremely detailed trim.  opening doors, hatch and hood.  Extreme detail of the engine compartment including plug wires etc.  This is the KING of all Viper Trinkets and memorabilia!  Buy it now, before some other Viper owner buys it first!

This auction is for the actual item shown in the picture which is one of the original and 100% Authentic 22 Carat Gold-Plated Dodge Viper GTS Coupe diecast model cars.  I have this item in-hand and ready to ship to you.
 
This particularly RARE Collectible Diecast Model, which is one of only 240 manufactured in the world, rarely appears on the auction block because true Viper/diecast car collectors hold onto them forever.
 
Condition: Excellent shape, displayed behind glass away from sun, never played with.  Still has clear plastic strap wrapped through interior and around the bottom.  The clear strap has gold print that reads: “Hand Finished in Great Britain”.
 
History: JCPenney hired a company from the UK to manufacture a very limited number of these diecast models for them.  When I received my JCPenney Christmas Catalog and saw they offered the limited 240 production Gold-Plated Vipers, I immediately ordered one for my son – please see picture of the original receipt dated November 17, 1996.  Since then other manufacturers have made replicas but those models aren’t nearly so detailed or packaged as well.  This model is one of first limited number made.

Photos: Some of the pictures were taken with the flash that causes the finish to look less than perfect.  Some photos were taken without the flash which shows less detail but shows how the gold is smooth and even.
 
Style: Hand-Finished, 22ct Gold Plated model is an accurate 1:18th scale re-creation of the original Dodge Viper GTS Coupe – hood opens to show engine compartment (“VIPER” is stamped on the red engine block) and doors open to show interior.  A spare wheel/tire is mounted under the rear hatch.  Rear blue license plate reads: MICHIGAN 68M 828 FEB
 
Color & Materials: 22 ct gold plated metal body, black & light gray plastic interior, mahogany wood mounted, engraved gold metal name plate, wine colored crushed velour box interior with metallic gold viper snake emblem, black snakeskin embossed box exterior with metallic gold viper snake emblem and make/model.
 
Authenticity: Certificate of Issue 00229 is included with white envelope it came in.  The Care Instructions sheet comes with the car too.

Excellent price of $400 plus shipping costs.  Whether iside the custom gold lettered storage box or displayed on the wooden mount that it comes screwed down to, this Viper commerative Diecast model belongs inside a glass case.  Not for kids, 

Matt Feher (VOA member) posted on facebook that he bought and sold 9 of these in 1996 when they were produced, for $500.  The original Snakeskin Box that the Gold Viper comes in was squished in shipping and the corners of the top were broken slightly. 

Well it's different.....that's for sure

It's a 96 GTS and has separate seat belt harnesses, handbrake and unbelievable detail for a model.
