I entered a Street Car Challenge at Spokane, Wash.  The Mustangs and vettes were so thick they were lined up in rows and groups throughout the pit, camping and display areas.

I was there with my TT Viper GTS set on 10 psi pump gas tune.  The reek of E85 and C16 racing fuel was everywhere throughout the lot.

My buddy Dave Morin and I spoke with many people about their performance cars.  We spoke to a woman that informed us that her and her husband's C7 Z06 was faster than a C6 ZR1 and their particular vette was stock and completely stock.  Their C7 ZR1 was an easy 11.1ET car in the regular races she said.  They were going to run 10.9 this time.

Real life was that their vette was pretty quick compared to the other vettes, but it ran only 11.9 during the 1600' (?) roll race and they did a best of 12.1 drag racing the quarter mile.  The older ZR1s were a little slower.  I spanked a ZR1 that was the local Fastest Car by quite a bit on Sat.  Sunday Morris turned on the Nitrous and made his best pass.  He ran a 9.4@ 162mph my time was 9.3@163mph.  There were 3 vettes bragging over 1000whp, but Morriss's ZR1 was definitely the King of the vettes.

Perhaps ZR1s and newer Z06 are faster, but this event those are the actual times run.  I wished for a Gen 5 to compare time and speeds, but there wasn't any.
